What is IICT?
We provide Membership + Insurance for the heart-centered Natural Therapies Global Community. We’re all about helping make Natural Therapy Practitioners the best they can be. We balance the see-saw between professionalism + being your industry bestie with tips, tricks and helpful advice.

Founded by Lawrence Ellyard
Like many things, necessity is the mother of all invention, and so it was with IICT. In 1996, Lawrence was running the International Institute for Reiki Training. With the ever-growing number of Reiki practitioners ready to practice in the market, he was looking to provide a membership banner for them, as well as access to insurance cover. He also wanted to provide an alternative to the path traditionally offered by membership associations.
Fast forward to 2025 and IICT has become THE go to global community for the Complementary Therapies industry.
IICT is also an award winning business led by Lawrence; most recently as a Finalist in the Business xCellence Awards 2025.

Our Social Impact
At IICT, we’re passionate about elevating the collective power of complementary therapists to make a positive impact on individuals and communities worldwide.
Social impact is a core value at IICT. That’s why we’ve partnered with i=Change, an incredible giving platform that empowers our members to donate a percentage from their membership fees to one of three incredible charities. All donations are covered by IICT.

Back her Brilliance – $145,951
In partnership with Global Sisters, the Back Her Brilliance initiative supports women who are deeply motivated to be self-employed.
Protect a Woman – $2,475,165
Across Australia, around 56,000 women are homeless each night, many with young children. In partnership with Women’s Community Shelters, this initiative provides a safe place for women and children to stay and an opportunity to rebuild their lives.
Support a Child to Recover – $354,011
In partnership with the Australian Childhood Foundation, this initiative provides specialist support to help children heal and feel safe, while educating and empowering communities to safeguard children from abuse and neglect.

WOW stands for Well-Being Our Way.
- WoW Day – A paid day off each year to use for WoW time (head to the beach, sleep all day, go hiking, get a massage or feel the sunshine – no questions asked)
